Step back in time in this historic oceanfront estate featuring a 4 bedroom main house and a separate 2 bedroom cabin. Built in 1928 by S.J Twine, MacMullen-Scott Cottage is located in the Nags Head Beach Cottage Row Historic District and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Situated right in the middle of a mile of beach with no public accesses, this estate will give you a sense of how things used to be on the Outer Banks while offering all the modern amenities. No need to drive for great dining. Walk across the street to lunch at the Country Deli, dinner at The Blue Moon, two of Nags Head’s top rated restaurants.
The spacious main house has four bedrooms on the top level that are built in a circle with access from room to room, and two full bathrooms. Beautiful living, dining and kitchen located on the lower level. There’s a half bath and outdoor shower located just off the screen porch on the main level. Relax and unwind on the expansive wrap-around covered porches, and sundecks with a private walkway to the beach.
The Cabin, (not attached to the main home) offers two separate bedroom areas, a double bed and two twin beds with TV, DVD, gaming hook up and Foosball table, bar with refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave and a private bath.
