Bettie Blanchard is a true native of the Outer Banks. Since 1946, her family has owned and operated a building supply company, Kellogg's, and a retail business, The Cottage Shop, with locations in Manteo, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Duck. She lives in downtown Manteo with her husband, Tom, and her "grand-dog" Lexus.
Bettie graduated from East Carolina University in 1971. She then taught high school, worked in the family business, and raised three sons. During this time, she has been involved in numerous volunteer organizations such as the Outer Banks Community Foundation, Dare County State of the Child, East Carolina University Merchandising Advisory Board, and the Dare County School System where she is a strong youth advocate.

Ruth Ann Ross graduated from Virginia Tech in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. She spent many years in the hospitality business and in management. She has been a full-time licensed real estate agent for the past three years.
Originally from Richmond, she spent her summers vacationing with her family in Nags Head as a child, and lived and worked here during the summers while in college. Marcia Parrott, originally from Richmond, Virginia, has lived on the Outer Banks since graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1974. She spent several summers working backstage at the Lost Colony and then went on to become the advertising manager for a local newspaper. Marcia began her real estate career in 1985.
