Sarah Spencer hails originally from Richmond, Virginia. While attending college at James Madison University, she spent summers on the Outer Banks. Longing for the beach, she and her husband returned for good in 1997. Sarah's fondness of real estate and home building started at an early age. Her father is a custom builder back in her hometown of Richmond. Sarah can remember tagging along on walk-throughs and helping with punch lists since the age of nine.

Matt is originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey. He and his family vacationed on the Outer Banks for more than 10 years before purchasing a vacation home. Matt attended Elon University in Central North Carolina, receiving a BS in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he relocated to the Outer Banks to be near his family. Throughout his life, Matt has interacted with people from all over the country.
