July 2011I just wanted you all to know that Village Realty has THE BEST website. I have been on every site who manages rental properties up and down the Outerbanks and yours is the BEST by far. Everyone else's is difficult to navigate, does not have enough photos, has too short of a description, vague about how close to the ocean it is, the sites are SLOW and not so easy to search. My mother loves her Village Realty recycle bag. We have rented from various realty companies in the Outer Banks - for the last 52 years -and you guys are the best! Loved the little soaps in all the bathrooms, beds made, towels placed in the bathrooms... We had an elevator issue and your guys came the same day followed by the elevator company the next day. She went so far as to look up homes and print out brochures for them and then marked them on maps so we could do drive bys. We thoroughly enjoyed our rental through them. The rental process was extremely easy and Village Realty was very accommodating. The house was absolutely wonderful with every amenity needed, was very clean and comfortable. We had 14 people staying at Tequila Sunrise and no one felt "crowded." We cooked full meals at the house and most every utensil, etc. was there. The location of Tequila Sunrise was PERFECT! Right on the beach,within walking distance to a full service grocery store and just a short trip to Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey Ridge, and miniature golf. One of us unfortunately sprained a knee; thank goodness the location of the house was very near to the Urgent Care medical center - we were able to continue our vacation without worry. We are all still talking about Tequila Sunrise and what fun we had. Our slogan was "Let's go fly a kite!" We had so much fun!We're already thinking about next year. -- Julie P. When I first spoke to Karen, I expected my question answered on how partial rentals are listed and that was it. Instead Karen asked when I wanted to come, my criteria and what I had in mind. The hot tub was our number one priority as I have RA and the tub keeps me mobile enough to enjoy my vacation. Not having the hot tub had the ability to ruin my vacation. At the time I did not tell the staff I had RA, simply because I don't like to draw attention to that if I do not have too. The staff upon learning that our hot tub was not available, gave us many very nice options. The offer we accepted was to move to another property which had hot tubs available... not one, but three. Also available were both indoor and outdoor pools. The new condo was FABULOUS and the private hot tub on the balcony was the answer to my prayers. They also gave us an extra day in the condo without any further charges. Thank you Village Realty for saving our vacation. The customer service was outstanding! -- L.
