National Pet Week, May 6th 12th 2012National Pet Week is celebrated throughout the United States and in other parts of the world as well. The mission is to promote responsible pet ownership, celebrate the human-animal bond, and promote public awareness of veterinary medicine in the United States and around the world. The 2012 National Pet Week is May 6-12. As we have done for the past several years, Village Realty will be donating $5.00 for every confirmed reservation made for a week (or more)at a Village Realty Outer Banks vacation home. The reservation may be for any available week in 2012. The donated money will go to either the Outer Banks SPCA (homes in Dare CountyManteo, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, and Southern Shores) or to the Currituck Animal Assistance League (homes in Corolla). Join the celebration in your community, or be the one to start it and take part in honoring pets, their owners and the veterinarians who treat them!
