2009 Photo Contest Winners

Grand Prize Winner: Anh D. of Vienna, VA

The Grand Prize Winner of the 2009 Village Realty Photo Contest is Anh D. from Vienna, VA. Anh submitted a photo of his son flying a kite on the beach.

With over 1,600 entries, and many, many great photos, it was hard to narrow it down to semi-finalists and then finalists. With the help of three local photographers we were able to get it down to seven finalists. We then let our reservation staff choose the winner.

Anh gets a free off-season week in a Village Realty property. Congratulations!

The first runner up was Doug G. from Richmond, VA. Doug wins a free two night stay (off season) at a Village Realty property.

There were five other finalists (photos shown below.) Each will receive a $100 gift certificate to use any time towards a stay in any Village Realty property. And, they will also receive a second $100 gift certificate to give to a friend to use. Pay it forward!

The photos were amazing ... from funny to romantic to fun and touching. Some were about people, places and the sheer beauty of the Outer Banks. The majority of the pictures we received are going to be used on our websites so look for yours! We will also be using them on Our Blogs, our Facebook Page and even on the individual websites we have for each home.

Thanks to everyone who participated. We will be holding another contest in 2010 and look forward to seeing more creative expressions of our guests visits to the OBX.

No purchase will ever be required to enter our photo contest so if you know some amateur shutter bugs you might want to let them know to stay tuned for the next contest.
