2010 Photo Contest Winners

The 2010 Outer Banks Photo Contest sponsored by Village Realty has come to an end and the Grand Prize Winner is Winner is Shelly Varias from Chesterfield, NJ.

''While taking our family photos on the beach we captured this moment between my husband and son both who love the sand and the sea at OBX.'' -- Shelly Varias from Chesterfield, New Jersey.

Shelly wins a off-season week at the beach in a Village Realty vacation home.

There were fifteen categories in all and the winner in each category will win something too ... the prizes range from a two night stay off season in a vacation home or First Colony Inn B and B, a $100 gift certificate towards a stay in a Village Realty vacation home or a gift certificate to a local restaurant (we pick the prize).

There were over 3,400 photos submitted and most will be used on our websites, in print ads and online marketing.

Our 2011 OBX Photo Contest will start sometime in May. No purchase is necessary and you do not have to be a guest in a Village Realty home to enter.

I've been coming to the Outer Banks for years on vacation
and had always hoped to catch a glimpse of the
Banks Ponies with no luck. On this trip,
while fishing on the beach in Corolla, the wait ended
as a group of four walked right down the beach
and stopped almost as if posing for several shots,
which I was happy to take. I love this one
because it captures, for me, the essence of the
Outer Banks;Peaceful, timeless beauty. Enjoy!
