Can't stay a week? We have many homes that allow "Short Stays" and these can be booked any time. Village Realty has the perfect rental for you - see Vacation Rentals or Short Stays.
Village Realty invites you to book your vacation with us! Book early and you and your family can enjoy a home along the marathon route in Nags Head or Kill Devil Hills. For your convenience, a variety of rental homes that are located along or near the race route are listed below. If you cannot stay a week, many of these homes offer "Short Stays" (3 night minimum.) Please call 1-800-548-9688 for more information.
If you are arriving Friday for your OBX Marathon weekend we will do our best to get you checked in by 2 PM or earlier and will be happy to extend your check out time till Noon on Monday. Please let the reservation office know you are coming in for the race and are requesting early check in/late check out.
The annual OBX Marathon race has a lot going for it; beautiful scenery, local support, many events and the opportunity to spend some time on the Outer Banks beaches. Time: 7:30 a.m. Mandatory Wave Start, placed by estimated finish time. First wave for elites and competitors.
Fees: $65 - $80
Online Registration Closes: 4/16/10
Course Time Limit: 5 hours
Course Profile: Varied terrain, coastal, scenic and walker-friendly

Dates: Friday, April 16 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Oceanfront Pasta Party
Date: Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm
Tickets: $15 Adults; $10 Kids ages 12 and under

The Race
Date: Sunday, November 14, 2010
Start Time: 7:20 pm Course Time Limit is 3:00 pm
Note: Mandatory Wave Start, placed by estimated finish time. First wave for elites and competitors
Entry Fees: $75 - $110
Runner Cap: 2,500
Course Profile: Varied terrain, coastal, scenic, incredible community support and spectator support. Boston Qualifier, walker friendly. Runners will need to maintain a pace of 17:10 per mile to beat the bridge at the 22 mile marker. The bridge will be closed to runners at 1:50 pm
The Gateway Bank Half Marathon
Date: Saturday, November 14, 2010
Start Time: 7 am. Course limit is 3 pm.
Note: Mandatory Wave Start, placed by estimated finish time. First wave for elites and competitors
Entry Fees: $60 - $100
Course Profile: Mainly flat and fast, walker friendly, coastal, scenic, great community and spectator support
Outer Banks 8K
Location: In Kill Devil Hills, near First Flight Schools Campus
Date: Saturday, November 13, 2010
Time: 7:30 am
Entry Fees: $35 - $55
Course Profile: Out and back course which starts in Kill Devil Hills near the First Flight Middle School, goes through Nags Head Woods Maritime Forest and finishes at the First Flight High School Track. Course is partly on a dirt road and the face is walker friendly. Hosted by the Outer Banks Running Club.

Fees: $5 for students 18 and under, $15 for adults, $10 for adults 55 years +.
Expo and Race Day Entry Fees: $10 Students; $20 Adults; $15 Adults 55 +
Course Profile:This is a family friendly event where kids and adults can walk and/or run for the fun of it. Walker friendly strollers are allowed.
