Summer Winds, an 11-bedroom oceanfront rental home located in Nags Head on the Outer Banks, is perfect for family reunions or special gatherings. With three floors of living, accessible by elevator, Summer Winds offers something for everyone!

Start your day by watching a beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from the top floor living room or outside deck. Sit at the breakfast bar and watch the waves and gulls - or even a passing school of porpoise - while coffee and breakfast is being made in our fully equipped kitchen with its two refrigerators, two ovens, two range tops, two dishwashers and microwave, toasters, coffee makers and blenders.

If you feel the need to stay in touch with the outer world, watch the morning news on the flat screen TV in the living room or connect to the Internet on your laptop via our wireless Internet connection. Or if some morning exercise is in order, swim in the 22' X 10' outdoor pool (solar heated from early May to early June and again from early September to mid October) or work out in our indoor exercise room located off the Theater Room on the first floor. But if the beach beckons to you, walk over our dune walk to our newly restored beach and hunt for seashells along the tide's edge or take a brisk walk along our white beach.

The opportunities for activities throughout the day are endless. Stay home and swim in the pool, lounge in the outdoor hot tub, sunbathe on the beach or play in the ocean. Or take a short walk (0.3 miles) to the north along the beach and fish off the Nags Head Fishing Pier, one of the Outer Banks' oldest fishing piers. Or walk approximately 0.5 miles to the Jockey's Ridge State Park, home of the tallest active dune system on the East Coast of the United States, and fly a kite or learn to hang glide. Or walk about 0.8 miles to Kitty Hawk Kites, offering kites, clothes and souvenirs for sale and a center for booking adventure tours on the Outer Banks such as kayaking, surfing, dolphin watching, paddle boarding and jet skiing.

Just a short car ride away from Summer Winds is the Wright Brother Memorial (3.3 miles) , the Tanger Factory Outlet Mall (4.3 miles), the recently constructed $25 million Jennette's Pier (4.8 miles), Pirate's Cove Marina (7.6 miles), historic downtown Manteo (10.2 miles) and the Oregon Inlet Marina (13.7 miles).

However you spend the day, Summer Winds is an excellent place to unwind from the day's activities. Make a refreshing drink at one of our three wet bars and soak in the outdoor hot tub. Have dinner in our oceanfront dining room and watch the ocean colors change as the sun sets in the West. Follow up dinner with one of the 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream from the Snow Bird Ice Cream & Grille directly across the street.

Finish the evening with a game of pool or Foosball on our second floor Recreation Room while watching two flat screen TVs. Or play a game of poker or bridge at our game table located in the Recreation Room. Or if a move is more to your liking, relax in our 17 recliner seat Theater Room watching your favorite flick on the 120" screen.

At the end of the day, retreat to your bedroom with its own TV. Five of the 11 bedrooms are Kings and two are Queens, each with its private bathroom and some of which offer not only a shower but a Garden tub. Another bedroom offers two Twin beds with a hall bathroom right outside the door. The first floor is most conducive for the children and young adults in your group; one bedroom offers two double beds with its own private bath; two other bedrooms offer two Pyramid bunks per bedroom and share a bathroom between them.

Parking available for 8-9 cars. Non-Smoking. No Pets.

Beds: 5 Kings, 2 Queens, 2 Doubles (in same room), 2 Twins (in same room), 4 Pyramid Bunks. All bed linens and towels are furnished and beds are made prior to arrival. A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soaps is provided. Village Realty will clean the home on check out day.

Holiday rate applies for Thanksgiving week. Short Stays (less than a week) are available at this Outer Banks vacation rental home; there is a 3 night minimum. During Holiday Weeks like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, we can be very flexible with check in days.

We know it's important to stay connected. This Outer Banks vacation home does offer wireless (or wired) internet service (computer not included) at no additional charge. Please keep in mind the Outer Banks often experiences downtime with this service and it can take multiple days to resolve issues when they occur. Village Realty is happy to provide internet service as a back up when this occurs and our services are available at every check in location.

We have been vacationing as a family for 3 years now to the Outer Banks. We are a very large group and have rented large homes from two different realtors before. This house was BY FAR the best one we have rented. And Village Realty was BY FAR the best realtor company we have rented from. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
