There once was a woman who had to find the perfect Outer Banks Vacation Rental for her family vacation. She despaired of ever finding one that was "just right" for everyone.

Grandma Ethel had to bring along her precious little Yorkie, Stanley so the house has to be pet friendly. Grandpa Lyle insisted that this home have a hot tub so he could "soak my old bones". He also had to have a king bed because both he and Grandma Ethel were just a little "fluffy" and needed the room.

Husband Howard said he wanted a pool table so he could practice up for the office tournments in October and little Millicent and Coby begged for a pool at the house. The older kids wanted to be in Nags Head so they could go to Jockey's Ridge and The Pit and several surf shops and the new Jennette's Pier.

And everyone wanted oceanfront. And there had to be at least seven bedrooms. And have a no-smoking policy. And have internet access. And the woman hoped that she would find a house that included the bed linens and bath towels so she would not have to rent those too.

The woman looked online...and typed in "Nags Head Vacation Rentals" into Google. She clicked through and found a very easy to use (and pretty) website. A few more clicks and she found a wonderful house called 'Hidden Treasure'. It had been recently remodeled and redecorated and looked beautiful.

Hmmm...oceanfront, 8 bedrooms, pool and hot tub, pet friendly, wireless internet access and a walkway to the beach. So far so good....there were 5 master bedrooms which was great because she did not intend to share a bathroom with her in-laws. There were actually 7 full baths and 1 half bath total. Excellent!

Near Milepost 16, so close to Jockey's Ridge and Jennette's Pier...good. And the bed linens and bath towels were included in the price AND the beds would be made before they checked in.

The woman chose her date, clicked and booked! The price she saw included everything except NC taxes (Uncle Sam wants his share), the optional trip insurance and a pet fee. Voila...done. She made her deposit and signed her lease online then sat back with a nice cold beverage and thought about the new bathing suits she was going to need.
