DescriptionCalling all Gypseas to the Palace in South Nags Head - you can treat it like your own. Rock your cares away on the western decks and enjoy the sunsets over the sound. Once the sun sets, the Bodie island Lighthouse beacon will take you back to the maritime history of the area. Ideally located in quiet South Nags Head with easy access to areas north and south, including the Wright Brothers Memorial, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Pea Island, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Manteo and the outlets.
27' x 17' Private heated pool, (heated from early May to early June and again from early September till mid October). The pool has a Cabana. Ship's Watch, Elevator, hot tub and a whirlpool tub. 12 TVs (52" HDTV in the rec room), 10 VCRs, 4 DVD players, stereo w/CD, wireless high speed Internet access (please bring your own computer), 4 Oceanfront bedrooms, gas fireplace available mid September through the end of April, den, Rec Room w/Pool Table & Foosball, double oven, wetbar, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, screened porch, hammock swings, rocking chairs, port-a-crib, high chair, gas grill and a charcoal grill, volleyball, horseshoes, enclosed outside shower, basketball goal.
Beds: 4 Kings, 2 Queens, 2 Twins, 2 Pyramid Bunks. All bed linens and towels are furnished and beds are made prior to arrival. A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soaps is provided. Village Realty will clean the home on check out day.

First Level -
Elevator goes to all floors. There is a 4" lip to the entrance at ground level. Access to the pool is through slider door on this level.
Mid Level -
Access to sun deck and dunetop deck; no steps.
The disability friendly master bedroom has a roll in shower with folding seat and grab bars and a roll under sink
Top Level -
Very spacious, great ocean views and deck access via slider doors (28" wide)

This makes our third year of enjoyment at Gypseas in the Palace. As we all arrive and unpack, we feel we have returned to our summer home. The atmosphere is very restful. Both views are great. Your recreational equipment keeps everyone occupied. We look forward to more vacations at Gypseas in the Palace. --

This is our 2nd year at "gypseas" and yet again another wonderful time was had by all. We had a week of beautiful weather! We had 17 people here at one time for a few days and we all fit comfortably. Your house is beautiful and our week was filled with fun, laughter and good times with great friends. We thank you so much for welcoming us back every year! After spending a week, last year, in another house further north and not oceanfront, the pictures that were taken of great grandma Marge's "week at the beach" made all of her daughters and their offspring want to come and share in the next year's adventure with great grandma. This house , "Gypseas" was really the perfect place for that adventure. All the daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren came together to celebrate a week with great grandma Marge. If everyone's schedules mesh again next year for a similiar get-together we would certainly try for another week at "Gypseas." --

What a blessing and a joy to be gypseas in your palace this week. We had another home rented and 5 days before our vacation was to begin the realtor had to tell us that we could not have it due to some construction issues. A moment of slight panic - and then we got busy online looking for other properties. The Lord provided this amazing house - incredible.
We have wanted for nothing here; you have placed so much within this home for our use - Thank you!
The rich, quiet beauty of the seas and the shore coupled with this amazing house has made for a wonderful experience. We, as a family feel truly blessed. --

This is the sweet life! Sweet in that it brought us all together from California, New York, Minnesota, Chicago, Akron, Ohio and Zurich, Switzerland. We all met together here for a week of full of RnR. We played games, had great food, watched movies and played on the beach. It was a little chilly at the beginning of the week but the weather was great the last few days. The men went fishing Sunday and caught 28 fish - 240 lbs! Needless to say, we had fish for supper a couple nights of the week.
The house was better than we expected, very well stocked kitchen...we enjoyed all the amenities! Gavin, 2 1/2, especially enjoyed the "ella-lator." The week was all we wanted, expected and needed...We hope to be back next year! --

Our first trip to the Outer Banks. We had a delightful time. Riding the waves was exhilerating! The kids loved all the field trips - The Wright Brothers, Aquarium, lighthouses and Roanoke's Lost Colony. We'll be back! --

We too, returned for the 4th year - all 13 of us. How delighted were we for such a nice week. The "palace" afforded us great amenities. Our pool party on Sunday was a "hoot!" The neighbors watched with envy! We had a bar-be-cue dinner that was delightful and a steak dinner that was as good as it gets! The remiaing main meals we enjoyed at various restaurants. As we age, we appreciate the elevator more and more. Thank you for making your home "available" to us. See you next year! --

A great time was had by all! Despite a heatwave our first few days and some smoke from the wildfires early in the week, the sun shone bright and each day was beautiful! We enjoyed the pool, beach, kayak, great meals which we all cooked together. our favorite was the seafood night and bbq ribs cookoff! --
