Begin your day at this oceanfront Outer Banks vacation rental home by watching a spectacular sunrise over the Altantic Ocean. Enjoy that first cup of coffee on the deck or in the top floor living area...where you can also catch the morning news on the flat screen TV or check your emails and Facebook posts on your laptop pc.

Caribbean Flats is a seven bedroom home right on the oceanfront in Nags Head and is a perfect home for family reunions or special gatherings. There are three floors of living area offering something for everyone in your group.

What is your pleasure? Swim in the outdoor pool (heated from early May to early June and again from early September to mid October) or walk over our dune walk to the newly restored beach. It is less than a mile to Jeannette's Pier, our newest Outer Banks Fishing Pier where you can fish, take a class or just enjoy the views and the local color and characters you are sure to find there.

If shopping is your thing then you will be happy to know that the Tanger Outlet Mall is very nearby and includes stores such as Coach, J. Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, Eddie Bauer, Nine West and The Kitchen Collection.

Make sure you set aside time for some sight-seeing and activities offered here on the OBX...Kitty Hawk Kites is a great place to stop by. They offer kites, clothes and souvenirs and you are also able to book some adventure tours on the Outer Banks...take your pick from kayaking, suring, dolphin watching, jet skiing and paddle boarding.

A must for every visitor is a trip to Jockey's Ridge State Park, the home of the largest active dune system on the east coast of the United States. This is where you can "go fly a kite" and learn to hang glide.

More must sees include Wright Brothers Memorial, the Pirates' Cove Marina (the kids will love seeing the big fish unloaded) and Roanoke Island/Manteo. Plan a day trip to Manteo and visit the Elizabethan Gardens, the Elizabeth II and the historic waterfront. Roanoke Island is also the home of the longest running outdoor drama in the US, The Lost Colony. Everyone will enjoy this story with Indians and a Queen and cannons and colonists.

Caribbean Flats is ideally located near Milepost 16 so you are close to some of the best restaurants the OBX has to offer. Some of our favorites? Owen's on the beach road for dinner, Sam and Omie's on the beach road for breakast or lunch, Lone Cedar on the causeway to Manteo for dinner or lunch, Waveriders Coffee and Deli for take out bagels and sandwiches and Lucky 12 on the beach road for lunch and dinner.

Now... more about this gorgeous home. The first floor rec room offers a pool table, wet bar and a bar fridge as well as a flat screen TV. If you just have to watch that favorite TV show, no problem. Five of the bedrooms have a TV.

You are on vacation and that means that you should not have to make beds when you first arrive. Village Realty provides all the bed linens and bath towels and yes, they make the beds before you get here. Caribbean Flats has a no smoking policy and pets are not allowed. Keyless entry means no one gets locked out!

We know it's important to stay connected. This Outer Banks vacation home does offer wireless (or wired) internet service (computer not included) at no additional charge. Please keep in mind the Outer Banks often experiences downtime with this service and it can take multiple days to resolve issues when they occur. Village Realty is happy to provide internet service as a back up when this occurs and our services are available at every check in location.

This was a great house and we had a great time. Because of scheduling, we cannot come back the same time next year or we would have booked it. We are all trying to come up with an agreeable week and some additional guests. No matter what, we will go through Village Realty again. Thanks -- Carolyn F.
