What to Bring on VacationPlease be sure to look at your cottage's list of amenities, as each varies. For example, many, but not all of our rental homes provide a couple of beach chairs; we suggest bringing chairs to ensure there are enough for everyone. While homes will be cleaned before your arrival as well as after your departure, make sure to bring some cleaning supplies for spills, dishes as well as laundry. You need to supply the following:
We provide all linens (sheets and pillow cases) for your vacation home and ensure that all beds are made prior to your arrival; pillows are included. We also include bath towels and face cloths (one for each person the home accommodates), but suggest you bring additional towels for your stay. Beach towels are NOT included. Each home will have a starter set of paper products for your first day, our gift to you. This set will include 1 roll of paper towels, 1 roll of toilet paper for the bathrooms as well as a small bar of hand soap. You will be able to pick up a weekly supply of paper products at the nearby grocery store. All kitchens are adequately stocked for everyday meal preparation. You can expect to find the following items for at least the maximum occupancy: a Coffee Maker, Dishes, Glasses, Coffee Mugs, Flatware, Dishes, Pots and Pans and Cooking Utensils. Some cottages provide extra kitchen equipment, but others do not. Extra kitchen items are provided according to the individual homeowner's preference, not according to the size, location, or price of the cottage. If you are planning special meal preparations you should bring with you such items as: a Blender, a Food Processor, Extra Large or Specialty Pots or Pans, Chef's Knives, Specialty Cooking Utensils, etc. |
DO stop by the office and leave your cell phone number so we can call you as soon as your home is ready DO ask for suggestions of what to do if you get here before the house is ready (we've got some great ideas) DON'T park in the driveway of the house until it is ready DON'T buy items that need to be refrigerated or frozen before checking in with us (we hate melted ice cream as much as you do) |
