This year Monica was in charge of the annual trip to the Outer Banks. Her friends had all gotten together to go over the criteria for the vacation. Everyone wanted something different but they all agreed that a private pool and hot tub had to be at the top of the list and that any house must be close to the ocean.

Rachel said that Pine Island in Corolla was a wonderful place to rent; her cousin stayed in this great house last year and it sounded like a good choice. "Check out Summer Pal. It is big enough and in a great location."

Joey just wanted to know if the house could please, please, please have a foosball table and Ross wanted a place with decks so he could bring his telescope.

All Phoebe asked for was Internet access so she could stay in touch with her online psychic. And Chandler, well he just wanted whatever Monica wanted, except he did want a house with a no smoking policy because he quit smoking 5 years ago and could not stand the smell now.

Monica went online to Google 'Summer Pal'. Found it on the first page ... she clicked and read:

7 bedrooms, 5 full baths, 1 half bath. That will work. Private Pool, check. Hot Tub, check. Game Room with Foosball, yes! No smoking. Pets allowed. Saturday check in day.

What else did this house have: basketball goal, horseshoes, wireless Internet access. It was just 825' to the beach access and had TVs everywhere. There was screened porch, laundry room and even a wine refrigerator,

Check out the beds: 1 king, 4 queen, 3 bunk sets and 1 twin bed (in the room with a bunk). Oh my gosh, all the bed linens, pillows and towels are furnished. The beds would be made before Monica and her "Friends" checked in.

Monica put a Hold on the house via the Village Realty website and then called up her friends. They would decide tonight but Monica knew she had made the right choice.

The next day Monica called the office (800-548-9688) and confirmed her reservation. Then, even though her vacation was 6 months away, she started to pack because ...well, because she is Monica. Joey put dibbs on the bunk room! Rachel started researching the shops and restaurants in Corolla and Phoebe started practicing for a horseshoe tournament. This was going to be a great week.

We know it's important to stay connected. This Outer Banks vacation home does offer wireless (or wired) internet service (computer not included) at no additional charge. Please keep in mind the Outer Banks often experiences downtime with this service and it can take multiple days to resolve issues when they occur. Village Realty is happy to provide internet service as a back up when this occurs and our services are available at every check in location.

2012 Community Pool Dates for Pine Island: Open from May 26th to September 30th - weather permitting.
Pool hours are from 9am to 8pm.
