Outer Banks Rental Homes with a Private Swimming PoolPrivate pools are usually open from early May to mid October, please call our office for exact opening and closing dates for each property. Pools advertised as Heated are set to a comfortable 78 degrees for optimum performance. This temperature may vary depending on the weather. Please note that pool heaters are ONLY turned on from early May through early June and again from early September through mid October. Guests with high sensitivities to chlorine may be interested in a rental home or condo offering a pool with a saltwater/saline purification system. This system converts salt to chlorine which makes the water feel softer and lessens eye and skin irritations sometimes caused by manually-chlorinated pool water.
