Durwood Cooper, Jr. is the Broker-in-Charge of Village Realty's Columbia, NC, office. He is a native of Tyrrell County, and was previously involved in his family's farm operation. He has had his real estate broker's license since 1988; a time when he lived on the Outer Banks and worked in real estate sales. He has owned and operated a retail business located on Main Street in Columbia, and has had a great interest in the revitalization of Columbia. A past Tyrrell County Commissioner, Durwood serves on the Tyrrell County Planning Board, and is the 2006 president of the Greater Tyrrell County Chamber of Commerce. He is also involved, as a partner, in the development of land recently annexed into the Town of Columbia.
