Nags Head Fireworks at the Pier
Date/Time: July 4 at 9:15 p.m.
Location: Nags Head Fishing Pier, Nags Head
Details: Come out and enjoy Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks show at the Nags Head Fishing Pier.

Duck Independence Day Celebration
Date/Time: July 4 at 9:00 a.m.
Location: Waterfront Shops on NC Highway 12, Duck

Details: Join us at 9:00 a.m. for a traditional Fourth of July Parade. Duck is welcoming children ages eight and over to participate in this year’s parade by riding bicycles or walking. Decorations and costumes are welcome! There will be a section for our canine friends. Last year over 50 dogs walked in the Town’s parade and sported their patriotic gear! If your child or you and your dog would like to be in this year’s Town of Duck Fourth of July Parade, please show up at the Scarborough Lane Shoppes back parking lot by 8:45 a.m. Following the Parade, the Town will host a Community Celebration at the Waterfront Shops in Duck. The celebration features live music, watermelon, and the awarding of trophies for the best parade entries. All events are free.

Corolla Fireworks Festival & Fair
Date/Time: July 4 at 6:00 p.m. / Fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
Location: Whalehead Club on NC Highway 12, Corolla

Details: Enjoy an annual event of fun and fireworks at Currituck Heritage Park overlooking the Currituck Sound. Activities start at 6:00 p.m. Food concessions are available and the fireworks will go up around 9:00 p.m. The Currituck County Board of Commissioners and the Corolla Business Association host this event. Expect fun, food, live musical entertainment, and, of course, pyrotechnics galore. Admission is free.

Kill Devil Hills Fireworks at the Pier

Manteo Independence Day Celebration
Date/Time: July 4 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Location: Throughout Manteo

Details: Activities include a Wacky Tacky Hat Contest, children's games, food and other concessions, musical entertainment, and a street dance from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., when a fireworks display begins. The event is free.

July 4th Festival and Fireworks

Location: Waterfront Pavilion, Roanoke Island Festival Park

Details: At 8:00 p.m., enjoy the NCSA's Woodwind Quintet, Jazz Ensemble and jazz singer, Becca Stevens, as they perform for an evening of patriotic music to precede and accompany fireworks by the Town of Manteo. Don’t miss this July 4th tradition on the Outer Banks! Admission is free.

Fireworks in Hatteras Village

Location: Ramp 55 in Hatteras Village

Details: The fireworks sponsored by the Hatteras Village Civic Association and the Volunteer Fire Department start at 8:30 p.m.at ramp 55 in the village. There is no admission fee.

Fireworks at the Avon Pier

Details: Come out and enjoy a spectacular Independence Day Celebration with fireworks at the Avon Fishing Pier.

Ocracoke Island Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Display
Date/Time: July 4 at 3:00 p.m.
Location: Ocracoke Village

Details: This festive parade featuring a half-dozen floats makes its way through the streets starting around 3:00 P.M. on July 4. Local shopkeepers and residents create floats for what's dubbed the village's biggest annual event. The parade moves down North Carolina Highway 12 from Capt. Ben's Restaurant through Ocracoke Village. The evening ends with a gala fireworks display at Lifeguard Beach. Ocracokers say it's the best Fourth of July celebration on the Outer Banks.

Personal use of fireworks is prohibited throughout the Outer Banks.
