Hi! I'm Kirsten and am a photographer here in the Outer Banks. My background is in documentary photography so my approach to portraits is based around the idea of capturing imperfect moments in perfect light. I used to be a kindergarten and 1st grade teacher so I have a natural ability to relate to children and get them to feel comfortable with me and my camera pretty quickly. I'm goofy, silly and often times clumsy and love to photograph families, especially if they include 4 legged furry creatures as well. My work is exciting, fun and completely different than anything else on the beach. I beg my clients to not to wear white and khaki and getting totally soaked towards the end of the shoot. I'm not for everyone, but for those families looking for a true reflection of their family, I'm your photographer!
