Directions to the Outer Banks

From the North to Our Nags Head Office

Traveling on Interstate 64 East toward Norfolk, Virginia, take exit 291B (168 South); get immediately in the far left lane and follow signs for Nags Head. Continue on 168 for 75 miles. (Once in North Carolina, U.S. 168 turns into U.S. 158.) After crossing the Wright Memorial Bridge to the Outer Banks, U.S. 158 will bear to the right (south). You will drive through the towns of Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills, then Nags Head. The Village Realty office is located just after Milepost 14. The Outer Banks Mall will be on your right; go through the stop light and take the next left onto Epstein Drive. We are located just north of the Town of Nags Head Complex and across from the Nags Head Fire Department.

From the South to Our Nags Head Office

Traveling on Route 64/264, cross the Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge to Roanoke Island. Continue straight on the Manteo Causeway. You will then cross the Washington Baum Bridge to Nags Head. The road will bear to your left (you are now on 158). Go about 2 miles; the Village Realty office will be on your right.

From the North to Our Corolla Office

Traveling on Interstate 64 East toward Norfolk, Virginia, take exit 291B (168 South); get immediately in the far left lane and follow signs for Nags Head. Continue on 168 for 75 miles. (Once in North Carolina, U.S. 168 turns into U.S. 158.) After crossing the Wright Memorial Bridge to the Outer Banks, go to the fifth traffic light (Look for the overhead signs reading Duck/Corolla). Turn left onto Route 12 North. Go approximately 14 miles (through Duck, Sanderling and Pine Island). We are located 5 miles past The Sanderling Inn, ˝ mile past the water tower on the left (not the big Duck water tower, the tall skinny water tower), where the blue signs direct you towards “Visitor information” (the first group of commercial building in Corolla) is where you need to use the left hand turn lane and turn left on to Hunt Club Drive. Then make the next left on to Old Stoney Road, and you’ll see our building straight ahead, its green with lots of windows facing Rt 12, our flag pole should help you find us. Physical Address is 510 Old Stoney Road (formerly The Spa at Corolla building).

From the South to Our Corolla Office

Traveling on Route 64/264, cross the Virginia Dare Memorial Bridge to Roanoke Island. Continue straight on the Manteo Causeway. You will then cross the Washington Baum Bridge to the Outer Banks in Nags Head. Follow Business 158 North for about 15 miles to Milepost 1.5. Turn right onto Route 12 North. (Look for the overhead signs reading Duck/Corolla.) Follow the same direction as "From the North to Our Corolla Office."

Every Saturday and Sunday from May through September, the Outer Banks changes its vacationing population. From 9 a.m. to noon the crowds vacate and from noon through 6 p.m., more vacationers come to take their place. Anticipate heavy traffic.

If you plan to arrive before 4 p.m. to avoid heavy traffic, please plan some activities for the day. Do not do your grocery shopping in advance. We cannot give you access to the refrigerator prior to check-in.

If you arrive after our offices are closed, your check-in package with keys and directions will be outside in the box by the entry door.
