Christmas Parade
A variety of photos from the Christmas Parade, held each year in Manteo,NC.
Each year, the Town of Manteo offers a Christmas Parade in North Carolina's beautiful Outer Banks. Normally taking place on a Saturday in the first part of December, the weekend begins with the Christmas tree lighting on Friday, followed by the Parade on Saturday.
The Christmas Tree Lighting program takes place in front of the Historic Courthouse. A joyful musical presentation, the Tree Lighting is enjoyed by all who attend.
During the Christmas Parade, Santa will bring up the rear of the parade and will ride in the fire truck. Following the parade, Santa will be available to meet the children in attendance.
The Parade, filled with floats, marching bands and a variety of Christmas spirit, begins at Manteo High School and travels through Manteo to the Downtown Waterfront, and ends at the College of the Albemarle (COA) parking lot.
